We do waterfall hikes early in the year, wildflower hikes in the spring, and work up the the challenge hike and party in the fall. The Announcement

This week we'll do a City hike. It should be hot this weekend in the valley, so it should just break freezing in the City. We'll leave here at 9. We'll probably take Bart from Colma, and we'll begin the hike at the corner of Market and Powell at 10.

Where we go will depend on who shows up. Options include:

• Hike to Fisherman's Warf via China Town, and Little Italy, where we either take the Ferry to Sausalito for a short hike and window shopping or do Dave's "rappelling up to Coit Tower" tour. Relatively easy, except for Dave's bit.
• Stairway hikes in the area. Moderate.
• Harder hike up to Lombard, then where ever we feel like.

No water, etc. are necessary since we'll have plenty of opportunity to stick our nose in restaurants and such for refreshments along the way.

At this point, we plan on returning to the City a couple of weeks later, hiking Golden Gate Park. But that's for later.
