Saturday, March 6, 2004 Hidden Villa

Rating:

Wimble Scale: Moderate, Length: 3.7 miles, Climb: 750 feet, Time: 2.5 hours

The Announcement

This Saturday, we'll do Hidden Villa. This is an easy to moderate hike, depending on which trail we take and how hard we press it. Plan on it being on the easy side, though, as we want to encourage those who haven't joined us recently to come along. Then, of course, it's game night that evening at Joanne's. Make sure you RSVP to her if you plan to come -- she has limited space.

Remember, FOMFOK is not a group for voyeurs. You must join us now and then. If you don't come on at least one hike every 6 months or so, I'll probably just boot you off the list. So, here is a good opportunity to make sure you continue to be a member of the group.

We leave here at 9 and begin the hike at about 9:45. Plan on 2 to 2.5 hours for the hike. Bring at least one small water bottle. Long pants will help keep off your legs any new-growth poison-oak that might overhang the trail. The trails are almost completely covered, unless we go down the Grapevine trail - in which case there is about 1/2 mile of exposed trail.

The Hike

We had a new hiker with us this week. We think he must own stock in digital camera storage. When last we saw him, he was up to about 250 pictures and still clicking away.
