A great day to visit the Hidden Villa restaurant. You must hike through the woods to reach the hidden restaurant.

You must also find your own fresh herbs along the way. Here, we plan on which herbs we want for our meal. Scott will carry some herbs in his knapsack. The sensitive ones he will carry between his two hats. The top hat is ventilated, to keep the herbs fresh.

Finding herbs is a very "heads down" affair. You must continually scan the grounds on the way to the restaurant. Dirk, our resident mycologist, looks for mushrooms under fallen trees.

Sage is up over there. Rosemary is over there.

"Over here," Joanne shouts. Scott and Cathy rush to pick bay leaves.

Sheryl and her friend hurry to pick wild rose hips. The bridge just before the restaurant is getting old and warped. Here, we all try to straighten the railing. We always help improve the trails we hike.

It's been a long, hard hike, and we plan to eat ourselves full. So, it helps to make sure your stomach is really empty before we reach the restaurant. At this restaurant, you actually pick your meat to be cooked. Several of us pick out chickens.

Someone has already picked out a cow. We make a quick stop at the slaughterhouse to report our selections and drop of our herbs and mushrooms, then move on to the restaurant itself.

Seated around our table at the restaurant, we wait for the food. A truly great meal. Now we walk it off with a hike back to the cars.
