We have several companions with us at the beginning of the hike. Here, there are worse things than poison oak to look out for on the trail. A small part of the Regional Wilderness, including the camping area at the barn.

Climbing towards the Flag Hill local summit. Buzzards take care of those hikers that can't make it to the top.

Looking down from the summit towards the parking lot where we started. Almost the only people we met today, and they came up the hard way - clockwise.

Looking back towards the summit, on our way down. The trail down is a cow path - very narrow, deep, and heavily overgrown with star thistle.

The star thistle really cuts up the legs. A shady spot for a quick snack before the final part of the descent.
