This is the FOMFOK Hiking group located in the San Francisco Bay Area
We hike every weekend, with a mixture of easy, medium, and hard hikes.
We do waterfall hikes early in the year, wildflower hikes in the spring,
and work up the the challenge hike and party in the fall.

The Announcement

Since it looks like it'll be cool, we're going to go across the bay again -- back to the Sunol Regional Wilderness. We'll start up old Indian Joe trail and head towards the clouds, passing by the "Man with Hard-on" sculpture. If we're ambitious, we'll manage to touch the clouds, then come down the other side of the hill. And, if we do all that, we're going to call it a 1/2 challenge hike (the other half is still Rhus Ridge).

So, we leave here at 8:30, instead of 9. We start the hike at about 9:30. Plan on 4 hours or more. Bring a snack and plenty of water, and we may head over to Fudruckers afterwards. This is a hard-end of moderate, or an easy-end of hard hike, if we go all the way up. The trails are wide and well maintained. Lots of sun exposure. Sneakers may work, but they're always iffy. Poles may be useful.
