It was quite a crowd that turned out for the opening of the new FOMFOK hiking headquarters. The traditional, Scottish, Drum and Bugle Corps greated everyone.

There was free ice cream for the older children. The ceremonial gardens were at their peak.

The club house was nearly ready for the unvieling later that day. The reconverted bomb shelter was ready to be stocked with emergency supplies.

We were ready to lay out the maps as soon as we could all agree where we were. An unexpected small earthquake tested the fitness of the buildings.

Members that made large contributions to the project got to try out the new trails before everyone else. There was a preserve set aside for interbreeding foxes and squirrels in an attempt to breed more sqox and firrels.

The Zona Marsh Area for Reptile Studies was ready for the researchers. The opening day ceremonies were capped by a musical version of Shakespeare's "Julias Ceasar".
