The announcement:

Our next hike will be "Le Marche de Morte" beginning near the Stevens Canyon Reservoir. The hike begins with a one mile somewhat steep climb. Then we walk around the flat top of the mountain and come down into the Sycamore picnic area, where we hard the FOMFOK party last week. From there we climb the fjords along the reservoir back to the parking lot.

We'll leave here at 8:30 and begin hiking just after 9. Plan on 4 or 5 hours. Two water bottles would be good, and lunch and a snack. Just under half of the hike is exposed, and the descent into the Sycamore area is often overgrown with poison oak, so bringing a hiking stick to shove any branches or vines out of the way is good.
